Prep Instructions

Prepare For Your Procedure at Midwest Endoscopy Center

Your doctor has ordered a colonoscopy (an examination of the entire intestine or colon) or an upper endoscopy (an examination of the esophagus, stomach or duodenum.) It is important for your colon to be empty and each procedure requires you to follow prescribed prep instructions to help ensure an accurate test. Listed below are links to our most common prep instructions but please follow the instructions specifically given to you as they may differ. Remember, it is your responsibility to follow the prep instructions correctly and carefully. Failure to do this can cause your procedure to be canceled or delayed.
